and fingers crossed for another perfect weather day like today!

Worth taking an incar camera, or is the footage just not worth it on such a short course/slow speed?

    Cheers

I'll have my camera, I reckon you might get some alright footage with the incar Phil, especially following the other car in shot.

See everyone out ther bright and early tomorrow, I'll be there about 8:00am, first cars will be on at 8:30am.

Thanks Shano for organising a great fun morning! Not without drama for some(who said skidpan isn't hard on your car?), but smiling faces all round anyway, who would have thought driving so slow could be so much fun

Interesting about the politics over noise, counts me out of future days there unfortunately

Will have to upload some footage once we collate them from the different cameras. Did anybody get good still shots also?

    Cheers

yea the noise limitations really suck.. i dont know if Derrick explained it to you all...

basically there is a grumpy guy who lives up on the ridge on the other side of sutton road who constantly complains about the noise coming from the complex. its roughly a $1500 fine for Derrick if he is found to be in breach of the noise restriction.. unfortunatly it means that some people miss out on the fun

Yeah he mentioned the fktard on the ridge who complains about birds singing, leaves rustling, chooks farting, whatever. Bit of a joke, car reads 94.9db at 3700rpm with the noise meter practically in the tailpipe, so it under the 96db stated in the paperwork for <1984 cars, but in the interest of keeping the peace anything over 90 is considered offensive somehow

But it was actually one of the "stay uptight" motorbike learner course instructors that complained his students couldn't hear.

I am understanding however of the fact that it's a commercial business, and there's no point pissing off your peers on a shared facility

i thought that was the SAU texikhana that did that.. might have been both but basically most of the skylines just drifted the course and put down heaps of rubber and covered up all their white marking.. unfortuantly that meant that SAU can no longer use the drypan for event like that

GT4 had issues too, but only after the event... Clutch wouldn't disengage properly. Topped up the fluid and seems to be ok, but will bleed it completely tonight.

WRX was all sorted with a new drive shaft and made it home.

I had a great time yesterday and thanks to everyone who came out, I'm glad everyone enjoyed themselves.

I'll sift through the footage I took and put some on youtube. Unfortunately my camera was playing up a lot yesterday so I got very little footage, it's being returned today for warranty.

Nerm, that was you out there yesterday in your JZX and at Maccas??
