Fuel sender wiring ( z20 soarer )

as in title, ive baught a digital autometer fuel level gauge.. and as the wires have been cut to the sender for some reason i need to know which is power/ground/signal/low level light

not sure if senders are the same with all toyotas

Digital senders are very different from analogue senders.
You'll probably need to get an analogue sender from an MA70/JZA70 with analogue dash to get it to work.

EDIT, or just go buy a generic VDO sender and bend it to shape.

Why did you get an aftermarket gauge though ?

the guy who built my car before i baught it took out the digi dash and put in a tacho n speedo in place of it ( no idea why ).

so no actual fuel gauge in the car, and found this one pretty cheap

Fair enough.
I'm not sure if Toyota senders have the low fuel light built into the sensor, or if the dash just turns the light on when the guage hits a certain level. I know the digi gauges just turn the light on when you get to the last bar, but I'm not sure about the analogues, although I think its the same.

You may be better off buying a generic sender unit and retrofitting it.
