Hey GT4
Y you looking for a stockish front bar? If your looking at something like that, then maybe go for the Invader or Invader 2 kit. Its bout 1200 and looks really nice.

That will show you some good bodykits from Aus.

Is the Group A front bar almost the same as the WRC front bar?
Also does n e one know roughly how much the groupA front bars go for?

Nah the standard front bar is relatively small, was gonna see if how much groupA bars go for and see if i could pick one of those up then put my FMIC in.
standard bar doesnt have much room
Well my engineer said that the best thing to do is to rip out the aircon cos you dont really need it cos doesnt really do much then it will fit easily. Also if you rip the aircon out this will take 17Kgs off your total weight.
Check this out.. http://www.gtfours.co.uk/default.htm.../tvsv/tvsv.htm
this is a really good guide to stay with it tells you alot to do and everything.
The only thing is, is that its based on the ST165s and the ST205s. But the 165 is the most like car to the 185.
Neways just thought id let you no and yeh

thanx for that man, as its a import my aircon has been degassed,so i dont use it anyway.
Might be worth looking into. Does ur engineer know how much room it will give me if i get it removed??
yeh i just rang him and he said it will allow you to be able to put in a 600x380x76 piece of pi$$ haha cos thats wot hes gona be doing with mine and putting in a 600x380x76. He also said that you might have to cut a bit of the front bar (with the stock bar) to be able to fit it in but yeh the aircon is basically the only thing to remove to fit one in.

thanx man, youve just solved my problem. can now still get a decent fmic without gettin a new front bar!!
jst need someone to install now!
thanx again
well thats the max size you can go but u can also think about gettin a 520x265x75 which is also a good one and will allow a bit for room to fit and to have hands of space.
Well neways theres just a couple of options there for you. I myself am looking at getting a 600x265x75.

No point getting a big FMIC core with the stock GT4 bumper as the top half doesn't get any airflow.
Go Group-A bumper for a big FMIC. Or go a slim 600x200x70 core with the standard bumper.
how much does it cost for a group a front bar and bonnet???
im looking at increasing the looks of the car a bit more so then i can get the FMIC.

Mine was $360 for the front bar, $120 for the main reinforcement bar. I reused the second reo bar from the stock ST185 bumper. Then $150 for paint. All second hand prices.
So around $600 or so.
As for the bonnet, I'd doubt you could buy one even second hand for less than $800 or so. There is no need for the Group A bonnet to do a FMIC conversion.
The absence of the aircon heat exchanger makes no real difference to the space available behind the bumper, as its behind the power steering and gearbox oil cooler anyway.
The only advantage to removing the aircon is weight (obviously) and it gives you more room to run your FMIC pipe where the compressor used to sit.
