im chasing more detailed pics of the 1JZ TRC , traction control throttle body.
i also want specs of the electronically controlled butterfly, ie. diameter.
also i want to know how many wires control the electronic part and possibly even how it works if any1 knows.
is the elec controlled butterfly able to open 100% and close 100% ???
(rep will be given)
reason for this is because im exploring the idea of using one with the twin charge idea - as a bypass valve.
thanks

hello
I suspect they are a stepper motor, like the ICVS.
Any info in the USA JZA80 TRSM (I think there is some of it online...) as 2JZ-GTEs run the same / similar.
Cheers

I am about to swap my TRC one for a non TRC one soon so I can give you some answers then. In the mean time I can tell you how many pins on the plugs if that is any help.
cool as chris - i might be even interested in just buying it for research purposes.
main thing i want to know is if its able to open 100% and close 100%
hello
Brett,
I can confirm:
a) it is held open 100% by a spring - about the same tension as the throttle return spring
b) I can close it 100% with my finger
The motor that drives it is almost certainly a stepper motor (ie similar to the ISCV) as it has:
a) six wires going into it
b) a position feedback potentiometer on the shaft
The only thing I can't confirm is that the motor is able to drive it 100% closed - although there is really no reason it shouldn't be able to.
I have one + the box that drives it from a JZX90 loom - was going to have a 'play' for research purposes as well. One day ...

Peter
fucking brilliant!!
exactly what i wanted to know
rep coming your way![]()
hello
I think you will need to setup the ABS sensors to use it with the stock box?Originally Posted by 82MKII
I'm interested in getting one to play with as well one day! Was going to look into setting up a simply TRC system that used the delta RPM + speed to calculate if the delta RPM change for a given constant time period was outside of what the range of what is possiable with traction. E.g. if the rpm goes up very quickly (or starts to) traction has been broken, or is about to and we should close the throttle slightly
