So using dextron in this is completely wrong?

So flushing for a type T would maybe fix my problem?

Thing is the previous owner told me he gave it a flush and used DEXIII unless he was lying.......

How does it go manually shifting???
    That's USD$750 - I got mine through http://www.dashlogger.com.au/ (Australia's Distributor).

It does do manual shifting as the TCU has many inputs/outputs... Check this out:

It's the similar price of the TCU i'm afraid...

With the TCU you can also put the Torque Lockup on a switch so you can have it lock up or not. I've got mine hooked up to the brake swtich to disengage (for ovious reasons).

    Cheers.

Will look into it, I like the idea of having the lock up on the brake switch.

you have been really happy with yours then, what ECU do you run on your engine

I'm still running the factory computer for the engine. From the transmission I have disconnected the factory transmission plugs and ran the PCS wiring loom with new plugs down there so if I ever needed to go back to the factory ECU (which I highly doubt) it's just a plug and play affair...

I've got the TCU to disengage the torque converter when the brakes is engaged.

The painful thing about the transmission computer is trying to road tune on your own and understanding more about the computer and shifting charistics as different cars have different shift points...

    Cheers.
