Default finding disc diemnsions: jzx100 etc

im trying to find the disc dimensions for rear jzx100 discs.

i heard that they will fit onto mx83 rears.

someone also said that uzz31 soarer rears discs are the same as jzx100 rears!

the height of mx83 rears is 66mm and uzz31 67.5. i guess this will change caliper fitment (offset) or allow for a thicker disc.

have searched far and wide and not found the dimensions for jzx100 can anyone help?

i know the calipers wont fit, i will fit different calipers.

yea dba has cressida, soaret but no chaser!

even the 'international' cattledog i downloaded doesnt have it.

rda wont let you look at the dog unless you are a dealer and the dealer i called in SA called them and thats wehere i found out they think the uzz31 is the same, but he wants the jzx100 dimensions to confirm.

theres a guy here at work who had a uzz31 and when changing wheel bearings he used jzx100 bearings (or found out they were the same).

the hole in the middle of the disc of uzz31 is same as cressida so im pretty sure it will fit, only the height and thickness are different (greater) but since im making an adaptor for the caliper anyway this prolyl wont matter.

still if anyone can find me dimensions of jzx100 i will bestow them a trevor trove of rep.

You will also need to take into account the size of the drum for the handbrake.

Apparently the kit for the rear brake upgrade for a JZX81 using JZX100 discs and R33 rear calipers had custom rear shoes for the handbrake (not sure if it was a stock one relined with thicker material, a backing plate and JZX100 material or something special).

What calipers are you planning on running?

the jzx81 are same but vented (and therefore thicker)

i have r32 calipers i want to run (or r33 or r34 i think they are all the same, at least the disc is the same part number)

pretty sure the jzx100 rear discs are a bolt on affair (foudn another guy who did it and all he used was a caliper kit for the calipers)

looks like the uz30 discs are the same with a 60mm center hole and the height is only 1.5mm taller than cressie but discs are 6mm thicker (at 16mm) and 291 diameter vs 272.

since it is apparently so hard to find the jzx100 discs i might try the soarer ones that way it iwll be easyer for anyone else who wants to try it.

even easyer if i can confirm they are the same as jzx100. also noticed on chaser forums jza80/jzx100/soarer brake upgrade is the same kit but im not sure if this includes the rear brakes also.

if i could find new jzx81 discs local i would probably go with that too.

Yes the handbrake diameter is bigger on the Soarer . It is about 190mm dia while the JZX81 is 176mm dia. Measurement from the hub where the disk mounts to the caliper mounting brackets on the JZX81 is 83mm on the soarer it is 81mm. Caliper mounting hole centres on the JZX is 145mm on the Soarer is 142mm. Mounting hole size on the JZX is 10mm dia on the soarer is 12mm dia. The distance from the axle centre to the caliper mounting holes centre is also different . by a few mm.
Here is a pic of the mounting brackets side by side

will measure a rear disc tomorrow if need be.

Z Imports have complete jzx100 rear ends (probably open centres)

He has had them for a while, so you might jag something from him.
