Stock .
It was like that because the fuel pump and fuel filter were the originals.
that looks tuned stomps... what ecu/piggyback is in it?

Oh, so it was.
12.3:1 at WOT for a stock ecu is scary lean then!

hence why i think its tuned...
could be one of those tuned roms (mines/blitz)

hey, as far as i know its stock... it does have a FCD on it though... Mick was saying, they do usually lean it out a bit...
He was mentioning that he had a 1j in the other day with a fcd and safc.. was lean as...
ended up fucking the fcd off, bleeding off some air from the map sensor, and then upping the fuel pressure... managed to get 17psi out of it before it started leaning... when it was leaning out at around 13psi with the fcd and safc...
i dunno about the ecu though.. ill ask Mark, but i dont think its anything special.. im not too happy with those AFR's, but that is as low as the boost will go with exhaust and cooler...

i think i can go leaner in the mid-range! still i put shame to the Toyota's, once i change out the elecs with the late model 5mge and clean it up a bit n tune i hope to get 140-150, which is only 20-10hp off Orlandos bog stock 2j!

guys wot is wrong with 12.3:1 afr's?? thats sweet as!!
Thats not crazy lean, most tuners would aim for around 12's when tuning, even hyperdrive said that.
Its perfect for a tuned motor, but stock ecu should be almost in the 10's. Which means something is wrong with Stomps electrics/fuel.

It might be worth adjusting the clamping voltage on the fcd. It's set to 4.25v at the moment.
And yes it's a completely stock ecu with no leaking caps.

hey man, cheers..Originally Posted by triptek
where you got the FCD sitting, near stock ecu im guessing... just behind glove box..
also.. i know fuck all about electrics... what should i adjust it to... or is it something i should adjust on a dyno...
sorry for the stupid questions, but my old fcd didnt have these sort of issues..

Best thing to do would be to put it on a dyno. FCD is near the ecu, just open the fcd up and you'll see a little adjusting knob inside.Originally Posted by Stomps

i reckon its a pretty sweet fuel curve on the dyno sheet, providing the o2 sensor on the dyno is accurate.
im pretty sure if you wanted to richen that up some more you would just back the FCD off a notch or two.
