CAM Regrinds?

Just wandering if anyone has had their cam/s reground and if someone knows of a good place in Adelaide to get it done? Cheers

There is one place that does regrinds but I'm not sure if any actually do hardfacing..... They are about the Wingfield area.

And in all honesty, the extra $30 in 2-way postage is offset by the number of profiles and technical help places like Tighe Cams will provide you with.

Places i was looking at include Tighe Cams (expensive), Clive Cams, Kelford Kams, Waggot Cams,

But i ended up buying from overseas.... (and it ended up costing more )

abently, it's not the postage I'd be worried about with Tighe Cams but just the overall price. You do pay for what you get and I hear they make a quality cam but for what I'm going to be using it for it won't be worth me spending that much cash unfortunately.

waggot camshafts - about $120-140 for a grind on a 4cyl twincam camshaft per cam

So double it (for a SOHC) and add another $35 per 2 extra lobes and be looking in the $350 or less ball park?

charge is per lobe @ $15-18odd per lobe (simple grind)

for full hardface weld and regrind (better option) its $40 per lobe
