    Default Replacement V6 wanted

Hi all. Just when things were looking up and up my wife did a timing chain in the V6, 3ltr, 4 Runner. I haven't put a spanner on it yet and don't want to untill I know what all of my options are. Does any1 know where I can source a low K V6. Or if there are any importers who could help me out with a low K import???? Rememeber I'm in RockVegas where V8 holden utes rule. It's hard to get support for Yummy Mummy 4 Runners.

All advice most welcome. Sharp razor blades als welcome.

What motor is it?? If its a late model V6, its probably a timing belt rather than chain. Also, if its a torquey low rev motor, its likely the valves arent interference type, so you could well have gotten away with it scott free... just replace the belt and be on your way. My ol 18RG dropped the chain once (bolt wiggled into timing gears), didnt do any damage other than the chain and sprockets.

what model 4 runner and what model V6 - will be on the build plate (not the ADR/VIN plate) - i thought most of the toyota engine range were non-interference so loosing a belt is a PITA not a dead engine.

As above, the 3VZ-E is not interference, but the 3.4L 5VZ-FE is.

5VZ-FE is non-interference. Gates catalogue is wrong.
