Hi all..
I'm new to Toyota's, but have seen the light. My car carrier (Dyna truck with 5r motor) needs an upgrade. Do 22r's bolt up to where the 5r does?? In other words, is the bellhousing bolt patterns on r-series motors all the same?? I wanna get a 22re in there with a bit of psi to push the truck. As for the car it's carrying, well I'll let you now about that once the truck is sorted. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I know i want to , but the truck needs a re-power, so what's going to bolt up?? I gotta Dellow kit here to put a Holden 6/ straight in, but if the 22re bolts up, then I'm there..
Can anyone just say they know??

Well if the 5R has a detachable bellhousing then all you would need to do is find the appropriate bellhousing or adapter and you will have that side sorted. As to the 22RE it should fit without to many mods.
Cheers Brett.
What gearbox is behind the 5R? Pic would be helpful. If your Dyna is late model enough, it should be on the compliance plate under "TRANS/AXLE".
The gearbox should have a detachable bellhousing but sourcing the right bellhousing for the 22R to your gearbox that will be the issue.
I dont wanna sound like a aussie yob but put a holden 6 in it over the 22 R.
A 3.3 EFI black motor from a VK running LPG would be great .
