because in that same aria theres..
    Douglas park
    Menagle park

we now live very close to Appin
and often go for drives like this..

Avon dam rd is one of the best kept secrets roads but it has been closed for so long now and dose not look like its ever going to be reopened.

also have a look at this very old cruise it was awesome..

My mates and i do the drive south through the royal national park and down over the sea cliff bridge about once a week. We often go all the way down, back up bulli pass, and then back along old princess hwy. It is an awesome drive.

The only problem with doing this as a club cruise is that it would be a weekend and the roads would be full of sunday drivers and the cops have started to really crack down in the national park on the weekends, which spoils all the fun.
But even so i think it would still be an alright cruise, aslong as everyone behaves themselves, and you could stop at headlands hotel for lunch.

    Hi,

    Stanmore tops = Stanwell tops???

If so the only pub with ample decent parking is Headlands Hotel at Austinmer. This is about 10-15mins south of Stanwell Tops depending on traffic. Austinmer is also the limit of the decent driving road. The closer pub at Scarborough has a shocking dirt carpark and very limited street parking.

There are takeaway joints at Stanwell Park, Coledale and Austinmer but the nearby street parking is always limited on w/e's.

    Hope this helps,

    Peter

    Hey Stitty

As Pete said the best place for lunch would be headlands hotel as it is the only place that has a suitable carpark for us.

    Hey man

I am from the bankstown area.
I would be interested in meeting up at some stage for a drive.
It would have to wait until late january as i am going to Fiji tomorrow for 2 weeks.

Let me know if you want to organise something.
