    Default Speedos!

Hey i'm fitting a Speco speedo into my ke55 20v.
to the t50 is mechanical. the speco guage can handle hall effect sensor... magnetinc and ecu.

should try and fit a 3vz speedo sensor? or do i need to do someting completely different?

from wat i understand the 3vz sensor is hall effect???? if yes then does anyone know the pulse cycle?

Most likely 4pulse/rev, with an outside chance of being 20pulse/rev.

You can buy aftermarket ones (VDO I think) that are 4pulse/rev for about $110.

You may find some 3vz's have speedo cable, and some have a sender. But most Toyota electronic sensors are hall effect, as are most aftermarket. 3 wires generally means hall effect.

The VDO one (and a lot of others, incl Toyota ones) screw onto where the speedo cable would normally screw on to.
