Default ST205 Charge cooler pump problems

Can anyone tell me what M+, M-, MTT, B and E are on the ecu diagram?

I can see the INT from the ECU triggers a relay which feeds B which I can only assume is the pump +. E is the earth, which can be seen on the diagram.

That leaves M+ and M- and MTT.

I am having dramas getting a ST204 running properly. The motor cranks, starts, idles, revs, drives but the code 54 (intercooler) comes up and it runs very very retarded timing, so is not healthy to drive.

Anyone have any information that would help?

they would be the wires for the pump i reckon. They all cross into each other at the plug so the ecu knows when the pump is there and when it isnt. Its a cock of a setup.
code 54 is intercooler level sensor, you can just short the two wires togther. Should solve that.

EDIT: ok here is the info you might need to solve the drama if its not the intercooler level sensor.

The sensor was the first thing I shorted out, but the ECU code still pops up after a quick throttle blip.

Does the error code cause the ECU to retard timing?

Is the water pump plug part of the engine loom or chassis loom? I would have thought it was part of the chassis loom.

yeah it will retard timing, and sometimes put you in limp mode.

yes its part of the chassis loom, comes out just near the passenger side low beam obviously.

not sure where in the loom it lives but id guess at the engine loom.

if you need a new pump ive got a spare kikcing aorund.

I can't seem to find a combination to eleminate the problem. Ignition gets retarded and car runs horrible.

another dude is doing the same thing and is having the same problem with the ecu going into limp mode.

have you bridged the level sensor and put the resisters into the circut?
