Default MA70 Auto climate control (AC)

Does anyone know how the MA70 climate control operates?

I'm trying to get the aircon working after an engine swap, but I can't get the A/C Light on the control panel to turn on.

I presume it has some prerequisites that are currently not being met.

Any help would be nice !

Another way of putting it, the two pressure sensors on the passengers side shock tower, are they in series (as per the top of this pic) or are they one each, and the 2nd one at the top is elsewhere?

I have a feeling that one of the sensors is one of the two at the top, and the other sensor is the one at the bottom, with the second sensor inside the cabin, but confirmation would be good.

Was the Aircon working fine before engine swap?? A70 Climate control units tend to have dry solder joints and can affect how it works....

    NFI on before the swap.

Its probably been over 5 years since aircon has been installed in this car.

even if the AC has dry solder joints, the light should still work.

i had a quick poke at mine but gave up, too hard, ripped the lot out.

    Ok, all solved.

    1) make sure the AC fuse isn't blown (located behind passenger kickpanel)
    2) make sure you remember to plug the AC Amplifier back in (you need to remove it to get the evaporator out).
    3) find the single pin plug with a blue wire near the battery and plug it into the AC compressor.
    4) once its gassed everything will work as per factory...

No trickery needed, no need to rewire anything. From what I can tell NOTHING to do with the AC goes through the 7M loom (except the two water temp sensors, which don't need to be replicated).

However, the lights still don't work, so maybe the LED's are blown.

Oh, and that DUAL PRESSURE SWITCH is just that, a single switch with 2 wires that has 2 contacts inside it. One for high pressure, one for low pressure.

As per the first pic on this.

Perhaps I should have read the Aircon section of the TSRM first
