Well, back from my first Nationals (well, been back for a day, but this is the first chance I've had to get online). didn't compete (was there as a spectator/tourist) but after seeing the complete and utter lack of FWD in the 'khana, I'm basically locking myself in right now to compete next year, hopefully with a 102 sans knocks, clicks and body roll. Will need practice with the handbrake though (I'm used to driving without wheelspin/brake lock).

Camping was OK too, weather was absolute shit-house (only just got the tent up before the rain came teaming in on Friday arvo, and it leaked a tiny bit each night too) and the gloomy outlook basically reduced non-Nats outings to a bit of shopping and a dash to the zoo on Sunday when the sun was shining. Still, it was a relaxing time (which is the reason why we decided to camp in the first place), no crazed drunk druggos jumped the fence during the night to steal all the booze and first-borns, and got to perv on all kinds of vintage cars, including a brace of 30s Dodges, and a Morris Minor woody ute with a '53 fold-out caravan next door.

Kudos Hiro for sticking out the camping scenario! I was certain that anybody in a tent would be doing a reverse-pitch & heading home Saturday morning, or begging someone at the Matilda for floor space

[EDIT] fark that was quick to get all the vids on Youtube already! Top work SA dudes!

Can't wait to get that video footage that you expertly captured on Teon's camera Ross, damn it looked good, even on the little display! Thank god it was only rubber being thrown at you, not rocks at that distance Nice photos too in that link!

In-car footage of you standing there behind the barricade with the camcorder looks pretty funny too

Jase & Stitt certainly proved the FWD category to have potential, and the entertainment factor was right up there! Jase's new nickname should be "Hollywood" after his entrances to the finish gate
