picsorban please?!
just a reminder about PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK feb 2009
this is a must see event
you will not see as many classic /race / historic/ race cars gathered in one place
anywhere else in Aust
last year there were more than 3400 cars on display
the classic celica club is planning a cruise to this , but all are welcome, we hope to have at least 20 celicas at this event
we should even bring some unfinished projects as they always create an interest , it will be a good one mark it in your calendar

...this is the one I am getting the Celica ready for.......yeah I know it is 8 weeks away but with everything over Xmas I will be pushing it to finish it........motor is stripped in the engine bay...just need to lift it out and the change over.....that said if the motor that goes in is a piece of junk I will be giving it a miss.....fingers crossed she is good enough whilst I get my friend to rebuild the broken one ........but 4th year in a row is the misson to get to Hanging Rock.

Obviously I'm in, that goes without saying!!
hi graham
i was wondering how your car was going
also
i will get in touch with the toyota dealership in echuca ., they are the ones with the mint 22, with only a couple of hundred klms on it
and see if they want to display there car with ours
i also have been in touch with another toymods member gary
who has a rally 22 , we may be able to get that there as well ,
if we group all together early we will get a good spot sadly for some this will involve getting up early coz down there it is" first in best dressed "
what i propose is that we meet at calder by say 7,30 and leave by 8am that gets us there around 830
then have a final meeting point so we can all get there at the same time . this is the ONLY way we can be grouped together in the venue , as the entrant co-ordinator is advised at the entry point on how many cars are in the group and then we are directed to a suitable point ,however if we space ourselves out a bit ( i mean in the physical sense) , we can accommodate anyone that has a good excuse for missing the assembly points , what are your views

...geez enough with the early morning starts Ian .........still you are right about getting a spot together.........surely we can better our turnout from last year. Now all we need to do is not spend the best part of an hour at the BP at Calder just loungin and get on the road!
