Laptop would be fine too.
Hey all,
I was toying with the idea of getting a logger that monitors boost pressure, perhaps to plug into a Pocket PC so it can be uploaded to a computer. I've had a look on Google, but not really come up with anything. Basically there is a whole bunch of customisability lying in my boost controller, and it would be nice to be able to use it properly. The seat of the pants dyno isn't the most accurate, it would be nice to see it on a screen without having to pay to take it to a dyno.
Any suggestions guys?
Cheers,
Nathan

Apexi AVC-R, quite useful for graphing and monitoring boost with a whole stack of other features
Ive personally used one on a modified r32 and they work well.
When I need to do some "testing" and want to "log" the boost I just do the testing with my camera filming it. I have only needed to do this once when I made some changes to my wastegate and boost controller and was adjusting it to get the boost to hold in all gears rock solid![]()
This worked fine for my purposes and avoided any staring at the boost gauge through 4th gear.

AVC-R is a no go. I just got a new controller and i'm happy with it.
You could be onto something with the camera. I might be able to jimmy something up. Still would be nice to see a line on a graph though.

www.wbo2.com I have the 2eo. Logs air/fuel, rpm and two other 0-5v inputs. I had TPS and map sensor. Now I am doing TPS and knock sensor as the microtech will log boost anyway.
About $450-$500, with everything you need and then you have a wideband o2 sensor which is invaluable for tuning and diagnosing problems![]()
Yep a graph is definitely better and if you have the time I am sure you will sort something out that will log the data.
But for right here right now value a camera does the trick and if you crash the car you will have it caught on film![]()
Let us know if you do get some sort of data logger happening.

you said you are getting a microtech as well right. Why don't you just log from there?
I am, but that's a down the track thing. Not a now thing.![]()

I just spent $650 on the controller, I'd get lynched by the gf if I bought the Microleb.![]()

well if you know some electronics guru that can make something to log a 0-5v input and display it then you are done![]()
Otherwise, microleb or wideband o2 are the only options I can think of
There appears to be one available for the Palm. I think I might just go with YLD's suggestion of the camera, and then i'll just chuck it into an Excel chart and measure it from there.

well there you go. First person I have found with a 2eo. Most people go for the ones with inbuilt logging but I only ever wanted to log to my laptop so didn't need them
Start logging mate, it is awesome.![]()
