Must have been a day for it.

Mine was being a bitch. Slight throttle misfiring completly.
I guess she didnt like being driven by someone else. Will make for an interesting drive home.

Thumbs up Re: Toymods Dyno Day 18 - Sun, 18th January 2009

Well that’s it for another successful Dyno Day. Great turn out and nice sunny weather. From what I could tell when I left the Dyno cell, it got a little hot, but I’m sure the cooler of drinks kept everyone happy.

    We've just finished tallying up the results… and the quick results are;

    F/I <1800
    No contender

    F/I 1800 – 2400
    David Radburn 252.9rwkw
    RA28 1G-GTE

    F/I >2400
    Travis Dean 253.6rwkw
    Hilux 2J-GTE

    N/A <1800
    Garth Thomas 84.1rwkw
    AE93 4A-GE(20v)

    N/A 1800 – 2800
    Joe Moore 55.1rwkw
    MA45 M-EU

    N/A >2800
    Mos 189.7rwkw
    IS200 1UZ-FE

    Top 4WD
    Lester Dillen 202.1awkw
    ST205 3S-GTE

    Most Improved
    Jason Georges 248.4rwkw (27% increase)
    RA23 1JZ-GTE

    KILLERWATT KING
    Travis Dean 253.6rwkw
    Hilux 2J-GTE

So that’s just about all the results. I’ll have up the full table shortly with all the results from all the Dyno runs for the day.

Thanx as always to everyone who came along, without you, we simply don’t have a Dyno Day. It was great to see so many new faces there as well. I hope you all enjoyed the day and got to know a few of us.
Dave from SAS did a standout job on the Dyno yet again, and Mark worked tirelessly backing on and strapping down the cars.
Lastly kudos to the board members and club members who helped out throughout the day.

Hopefully the July Dyno Day (#19) will prove to be as good or better. I’d love to see a few records broken! It’s been a while since we’ve seen them change…

    Cheers,
    Dav

    Hi,

It was a good day. I am not sure about why other cars were down a little on power, but my 18R-C auto rocks!!!! It pulled 47.1kW, which is nothing compared to the big numbers on the turbo engines and that, but for an old 18R-C stocker, that's not bad.

Can't wait until July to see how much the new engine goes.

Oh, met YLD face to face. I dunno who told me, but he doesn't look like that fat kid with the orange hair in that old US sitcom.

If only they had given my car a lil more boot, coulda clicked it over the 253 mark and taken that But on that note, woulda sucked cleaning bits of engine outa the dyno lol

    Cheers,

Hey i'm surprised as you are. I was perplexed why it only did that on 15psi when i drove i got it to go past 22psi?? I dunno what happened there. To be honest i was disappointed with my own result and the fact that i won the overall day, I was so under powered. Next time instead of people talking up their cars, they should bring them. I know i will and next it'll me cracking that 350kw mark with ease like it should.

    See you next time.

Damn you -GT-, I was all set for <1800 class trophy until you showed up

Was pleasantly surprised with the AE82, was expecting early 60s but managed to grab 70.8, just 0.9 less than the AE102 (which I was desperately hoping it wouldn't beat). About the best result I could hope for really.

Big up to everyone for the day - dyno operators, Kirsty and Dav on the paperwork, BBQ guys too. Only downside to the day is the rather painful sunburnt feet (that's what I get for wearing thongs....)
AE102 - Charlene the Old Faithful, Reborn
JZZ30 - Lexi the Spacecruiser, 1JZGTE>>3SGE. 200rwkw, hunting Skylines and n00bs in SS Commodores
    ST162 - Charlie the non-ghey Celica, 3SGE>>4AGE. GOOOOOOOONE
AE82 - Rosie the Bitsa from Hell, 70.8kw atw. Has been converted into garage space and money at last
KE55 - Billie the Beast, sadly missed

Had a good day out and enjoyed catching up with plenty of people throughout the day.

Was a long day for us with a 5:00am start and on the road by 5:30am dodging kangaroos, got back home around 5:30pm.

Car ran well for the drive up and back and the dyno run left me with some enthusiasm to do a bit of work and try and free up some more power.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with the day.

Great day as usual, was surprised by the LS400. Expecting 110-120 and ended up with 140.8rwkw.
    If in doubt power out
