    kinda want to just get it running ok first 5me and autobox arent going to well and i can always do other stuff later atm i just want

    Ok, well lets look at costs (at the bare minimum)

    7MGE + loom and ECU $800 should get a reasonable one (though you can never be sure with 2nd hand engines)
    W58 at least $400, W57 will be chaeper and easier to find but 5th gear will suck ass on the hwy, especially if you keep the 4.1 ratio your ex-auto car will most certainly have
    Slotted rotors, roughly $130 each
    Shocks and springs $600 bare minimum cost
    Decent pads - greenstuff decent? about $180 a pair

    So, without factoring in any of the fiddly things that WILL go wrong and labour for things you cant do yourself, youre looking at about $2300

    I would also factor in another grand (at least) for stuff you didnt think of and then more money for engineering and engineers certificate.

    Honestly, I think youre probably going to end up spending at least twice what youre budgetting, but thats just my opinion, you may surprise me

    your probably right about the money but if i had said 4k budget then id be up for 8k

    im not setting my sights quiet that high i just dont want to be getting outpaced by v6 vn commodores and various other high quality vehicals
