I'd hazard a guess that an 18RG would be a hell of a lot easier, to be honest. I'd say at the very least the mounts would be custom. You'd probably be able to get a sump to clear without too many issues.
Hi, has anyone got any tips or info on fitting a 2TG motor into an RT40 corona? ie mounts, sump etc...
Cheers,
Daniel

I also did a 18RG conversion into the old shovelnose Rona all went fairly easy.
Cheers Brett.
RT40's have a mid sump. so to fit a 2TG you need to drastically modify the cross member. I've got a front cross member modified to accept a 4A-GE, but it's in my RT40, which is in Broken Hill. and I'm now living in QLD. so I can't even take pics of what needs to be done for you.
18R-G would be much easier as they have a mid sump, or other mid sumpe motors eg: L18.

I am currently doing a 4AGE install. Check out my thread or fire any questions you may have about anything or if you decide to go with a 4age. Should be able to crank mine over and start it come xmas. *fingers crossed*
