Classic Celica Club of Victoria Meet #20 – Sunday 7th Dec 2008 @ 9.30am

"Leaving Lilydale Lake at 10.00am sharp. Re-group at Noojee via Yarra Junction and Powelltown then on to Mirboo Nth via Willow Grove and Trafalgar. Lunch at Mirboo Nth. brewery restaraunt (will have to book prior to arrival like we have done at Yea) or buy from the bakery or fish shop, whatever takes your fancy then home via Grand Ridge Rd to Warragul. Please note although the Grand Ridge Rd has been recently sealed there is still a 4 km section of good gravel road to be traversed. For those that dont like gravel you would have to detour to Leongatha and the Sth Gippsland Hwy to go home or back track the way we came to Trafalgar and head home from there. The G.R.Road is well worth the drive and I doubt the gravel section would do any damage as speeds are low due to the winding nature of this road. I plan to be back on the freeway at Warragul approx 4pm. It is approx 250 kms from Lilydale to Warragul along the planned route so if all goes well fuel wont be an issue and we will end '08 with a great cruise before all the xmas mania starts. my 28 for some unknown reason just dies when i approach either wet or gravel surfaces and starts up again when pointed in opposite direction, so to be sure my 28 doesn't die Leongatha is entered in the gps, But if there is moisture on the ground when i lift garage door up probably wont start anyway, so in that case have great cruise.

This run was slotted in for people that have missed other cruises and may have wanted a run before xmas.We understand this time of the year is busy with functions going on all over the place but this provides an option for those free of commitments who may be interested. If there is only 3 cars turn up it will still happen.

hi guys the best place in mirboo north is the big carpark opposite the shire hall and next to the park which is good if there is kids and there is under cover full bbq and toilet facilities as well. plus there is more than ample parking for all. will be good to see more than my celica in town i hope a few of you can make the run! what time do you think you will be in town?
