4afc mis on mod-hard accel

Hey,

I have a 4afc in a nova and it has a bad intermittent misfire when i give it moderate or hard acceleration. i have recently changed the plugs to correct a misfire which has worked but under load the engine still sounds like a tractor. any help??

maybe it is running lean, any vacuum leaks?

check the leads
usually can cause a misfire under load

as 2jzhilux said check leads, dizzy cap, rotor, points, you could probably replace the whole lot for less than $80 and 30 minutes work.

if none of that fixes the problem check the timing.
