They arnt JZA70 mounts. All JZ blocks have the same bolt pattern left to right.
I know, i bolted mine on the wrong sides, and had to change them over IN car.
Come around sometime and pick up my JZA70 mounts.
Hi all...im calling out to those that have put a 2JZ into a Z20 or an A70
Last night I tried to finally get mine bolted into my car...ive got a JZA70 X member and JZA70 mounts off my JZA70 1JZ that I was originally going to use...the mounts are pictured below:
The problem we are having is that the mounts have different bolt patterns left to right and it seems like the 2JZ has identical mount bolt patterns on each side...
when we use the larger mount on the inlet side it fits fine...but you go to put it on the exhaust side and it appears to hit the turbo oil drain hose...this isnt too much of a dilemma because some "modification" to the oil drain will provide a sufficient work around for this...
But what about the inlet side?
has anyone seen this issue before?
Is there something I can unbolt and remove so I have some holes to put the mount into??
Any help is much appreciated...

my motor is definitiely a JZA70 motor...manual motor, no TRC, rear sump and 2 row ecu plugs...and these mounts came off this motor...
ill come and get yours tonight if thats ok?

They are JZA70 mounts..
Your wrong takai. Cause we tryed fitting it to the 1J block and it fits fine.

hrmmm ok...back to the drawing board..
hengsta spoke to triptek and he has said that you remove the fuel dampner or something and then use the smaller mount on the inlet side...sound right?

yeah they are DEFINITELY JZA70 mounts you have there Della...
the writing on them confirms it. RR-A and LR-A. meaning for -A frame/chassis (i.e. JZA70, MA70). L and R (well duh..)and the middle letter i think was definining if it was left or right hand drive (I can't recall..but Looonie can verify that one.. he knows)

I remeber pulling that dampner off the 1J...the 2J one doesnt go near the stock 2J mounts though...but apparently you remove it and use the bolt hole for it as an engine mount hole...
hoping this all works out aye...I have to get this motor back in and the front end reassembled so it can go on a truck to have shit done to it

on post 89 cars you can either buy the bic or use 1jz ones. the round mounts are all the same (and you can get them from most cars such as the sc300, 89+ mkiiisupra, etc) and the square mounts i would buy the poly ones from BIC.
as for the mounting location they will be different comapred to the 2jz aristos location but its not hard to figure it out (especially if you have BIC brackets) the bolt locations are the exact same as the 1jz...

Right...so my car is technically a post 1989 as im guessing the age determines crossmember and I now have a JZA70 cross member...
ive got the factory rubber mounts so they should be fine and the mounts should also work...now I just need to work out where to bolt the fuckers in...

To me it looks like just remove that fuel damper, and bolt mount up...basucally exactly like a 1JZ. When you get home tonight I'm sure it will be straight forward

i had to move the mounts to different holes in the block to get the 2j to fit the mx83.
on the turbo side at least 1 turbo support bracket was removed (maybe 2) to use their holes.
