Fundraising Trivia night for Bevan aka ROTFL-ACT - Thursday 4th December

We hit the 40 table limit, and then extended another 5 with a rearrangement of the room, this is much as the Olympus room can take, so the gates are closed!

As some of you already know, Bevan (aka ROTFL-ACT on these forums) suffered a massive motorcycle accident recently, and has sustained serious injuries, including paralysis from the chest-down due to a damaged spinal cord. He is currently in a specialist spinal unit in Sydney and is looking at approximately 6 months of extensive rehabilitation before returning to Canberra

To assist Bevan and his family, we are coordinating a large trivia night in Canberra for Thursday 4 December, with the venue and event sponsors currently being confirmed.

We are hoping to attract between 400-450 people for this event, please keep the date free in your diary, and invite any friends/work colleagues/family etc to join your team. Further details will be released shortly.

Apart from the usual Trivia question proceedings on the night, there will be a silent auction of various items/services (including some motorsport memorabilia that will be great for your collection), as well as lucky door prizes, and of course, prizes for the various trivia challenges during the night.

If any of you have ideas or contacts for local businesses that may be able to sponsor the event with a donation of goods or services, no matter how big or small (restaurants, workshops, etc etc) then please contact me by PM, any assistance is greatly appreciated, and all for a good cause

The Hellenic Club of Canberra have kindly provided us with the Olympus room at a discounted rate in support of the event, this room will accommodate ~450 people plus presentation area and auction tables.
