yep, they all work cept for the tacho. you'll need to use the 18rc oil pressure sensor in the 1g block though, as it interfaces with the dash. oh and the water temp sensor too.
G'day,
I was wondering if ALL the gauges that are standard in the RA28 dash can be hooked up to the 1G? My oil and temp mainly, the tacho can be reset as per another doc on the site. Any help would be great,
Frank.

Can anyone confirm that the 18R oil pressure sensor will screw straight in place of the 1G GTE's presure sensor??
The Temp sensor on the 1G isnt too bad with the current gauge, its a different scale, but you will soon figure out where its meant to sit, and whats Hot / Cold etc.
A) The 18rc oil pressure sensor WILL fit into the 1g-gte. I've done it twice.
B) The temp sensor is on a different scale, and if you want it accurate, you should put the 18rc one in it. Or, better still, buy a SPECO water temp gauge off ebay for a whole $30
Thanks Strad.
Thats great to know!
as said as long as you use the 28's sensors on the 1g your readings should still be accurate.
wether hot / cold ranges listed on the guages are relevant to the 1g-gte is another question. IE Hot on the celica guage with the 18rc may be cold when the 1ggte has the same temp...

I use the standard celica temp gauge with my 1GGTE and there is barely any difference. Dont waste your time. Use the standard 1G one.
You should find there is one wiring loom left after you plug the computer in, its longer and thinner than the others. That is the dash plug. It has all the needed wires to hook up to the Celica dash.
You just need a pin out diag.
No necessarily, depends on how looms done my friend. :-)
Don't forget to spread the rep love.... :-)
I always swap over the temp sender from the 18r to the 1G as a matter of course. I've never had a problem getting a tacho to work on a RA23 or RA28 though.
newb question/semi hijack
where are the ops and temp senders on the 1ggte?
