I'd say your best bet Todd, would be to search for a 1.5 way over a 2 way LSD. Kaaz are a pretty good choice and are around the $1100 mark I think.
My JZA70 has the G299 4.1:1 Torsen LSD and its been good to me for many years, im very fond of the drivability, tractibility, behaviour and predictability.
Fact is im doing some power upgrades soon (400+rwhp) and will also be moving to drag radials for drag racing and I dont want to have to worry about this thing going pop since since its 18 years old and mine is probably the last one standing out of about 6 other G series torsen's i know of. They dont seem to like shock loading much.
My question is, what are my options from here. What aftermarket centers are available and what comes recommended... I have the diff out of the car waiting to be rebuilt, I considered rebuilding the factory torsen but I dont think thats a wise idea given their track record of holding up in high hp applications.
I need something strong, predictable and well behaved (not noisey or clunky or difficult to manoeuver.
Thanks.

Any of the Jap clutch plate LSDs will do the job nicely, just depends exactly what you want as to which model you would use.
Alternatively you could full or mini spool the thing to give you a locked diff which would be the best for drags....not so nice trying to park around town though![]()
