    Default Awesome, 1G problems.

Anyway, today when i was heading down to ye local exhaust shoppe i encountered an odd problem. My car would hit boost, the boost gauge would rise but i would be going no faster. Basically a huge flat spot.

On the way back, all was fine, worked and boosted well.

Tonight on the way home from work it happened again, but then the lights dimmed and i could literally just tell that they were on. Parked the car and then the car idles at 1k, popping every second (not random) and the engine was making a strange huffing noise?

    Any ideas?

Could be. Battery light, exgaust light and light light (lol?) came on when i snapped my muffler off.

Would the alternator cause the power (engine power) problems?

    Thanks.

You know more about my car than me

I might chuck it down in the garage and give it a look over.

Nope alternator fuse is actually just a wire.

    All lights work too.

Yeah, battery is on the charger, had one red light out of four. Still some more issues, might get new plugs and leads tomorrow too.

Also, the check lights turn off as soon as i hit boost...Any clue as to why?

Why would the alternator cause the engine to make boost and run like shit(Make no power)??

I would have thought that your car could have leaned right out or something, meaning that it will make boost, but burn no fuel and just detonate... Car will run like shit if you've blown the motor and cause it to miss on any particular cylinder regularly, or several if your really un lucky!

Lack of volts equals lack of decent spark......
