Safety21 Rollcage Install

Im going to install a Safety21 bolt in 6 point cage into my MZ21 next weekend

I didnt get any plates or bolts etc for the points where the cage bolts to the floor.

Any idea whether they use a plate under the car also ?

What grade bolts to use ?

Floor mounting ideas ?

Any feedback would be great and yes this is to be installed for body rigidity purposes etc not to serve as a approved cage for any reason !!!!

Yes, you need a plate under the car and it should be a different size to the one inside the car. According to the engineer I use, when they're the same size they punch through the floor much easier.

As for the bolts, I wouldn't use anything less than grade 8.8 personally. For the cost of 12 bolts get the best you can. Stew would be the man to answer questions about bolt grade.

I've installed a safety21 cage into my ae86 and it came with plates, they are about 15mm wider all round than the top plate.
From memory they are about 2mm thick plate

Are 6point cages ADR? I know you can have a half cage on the road, and for that matter, you might not be building a street car...just a question really...
