    in cabin in Aus is illgal, cos if it leaks, then you can get covered in fuel... and if you are covered in fuel and catch fire, it makes it more difficult to safely drive the car.

    what does windscreen wiper have to do with it? couldn7t you mount on bonnet in front of wipers?
    can you just run an electrical oil pressure sensor instead?
    are you so worried abotu fuel pressure as to need the gauge in cabin?

    I was under the impression that there exists an isolator which blocks flow, in which case you technically could run a mechanical gauge in the cabin with a safe medium between the isolator and gauge. I haven't actually seen one of those isolators so I could be completely wrong.

    These are only available for low pressure/carbie fuel systems, high pressure run straight to the guage.
    Electrical ones are available pretty cheap these days, saves having a 40+psi fuel line pointed at your face.

    autometer;
    Can I install a fuel pressure gauge inside my car in the dash?

    For safety reasons, all MECHANICAL fuel pressure gauges must be mounted outside of the vehicle, unless you use a fuel pressure isolator. In low pressure applications (0-15 PSI) we offer fuel pressure gauges that include the isolator and 4 ft. of braided line between the gauge and the isolator. The isolator keeps any fuel inside the engine compartment behind the firewall and not in the passenger compartment.

    Another option is to use our new full-sweep electric fuel pressure gauge. Throughout the website you will find 0-15 PSI and 0-100 PSI electric fuel pressure gauges in most of our popular lines.

    (15psi isolator is not available separately)

    100psi isolator is part number 5282.
    i dont have a funny or cool signature.

    It can be done.

    You can buy a little unit that you plumb your fuel line to. Then from the little unit thingy (forget its name) you run a glycol filled line into the cabin and to the gauge. It is totally legal and non flameable.

    Wow, I'm sure last time I looked they weren't available!
    Interesting, but for an extra $100 for the isolator, is it really worth it? I'd rather spend the extra $50 on the elec one, then at least it doesnt have "NOT TO BE MOUNTED INSIDE OF VEHICLE" printed on the face of it.
