haha sorry yes he did. I already repped him for it but have to spread the love for you

but yeah norbie said there was a whole dellows conversion kit for 1jz -> w58 which i didnt know about. Didn't realise Pure insanity mite be talkin bout that, thought he just meant the flywheel only was custom. But yeah now i know just gettin a jza80 flywheel wont work cos of the bellhousing and clutch fork being dellow's.

    Thanks heaps guys! Much appreciated.

    Wrong

You can use a JZA80 2jzge flywheel with dellow bellhousing and fork.

    I've done it.

    oh true!

Is there any advantage to this besides being able to use a supra clutch kit instead of a holden one? I'm thinking i'll just stick with a holden setup, since jza80 n.a. flywheels are so damn hard to find (and exxy)!

    thanks again.

    No real advantage,

Possible advantages could be lighter flywheel, larger friction area for clutch and better clutch tho. You'll have to decide what you want to do, which will also depend on the power level that you want

yeah i see. think the current setup only has a 220mm clutch diameter. But yeah since its a w58 i'm not gonna go for much power, just want this thing back on the road as soon as i can.

Thanks alot for the help wilbo! i'll rep you when i can

    I no longer have a 1jz

But yes I did have a 1jz with a w58 It was quite mild however around 200rwkw would have been my guess. It did have a twin plate clutch however which wouldn't have been the nicest thing for the rest of the drivetrain.

However it is worth noting that I broke a diff, but never a gearbox...in a lighter MA61 tho
