switch for the oil pressure light
Cheers Nick
Hey
can anyone tell me what this is on jza70 1jz:
and the same spot on a front sump 1jz:
Both use a single wire connection so i guess they do the same thing. I am transferring the loom from the jza70 motor to the front sump motor (Front sump loom is cut). Can i just solder the connector from the front sump loom to the jza70 loom?

Yeh thats somewhat right.Originally Posted by camrypwr
The first picture I beleive is a variable sensor for an oil pressure guage. While the second picture is a simple switch for an oil pressure dummy light (ie.oil pressure drops below a pre-defined value and the light flashes on the dash).
cheers
Yeh you can solder on the connector from the old loom. However does the new car have an oil pressure guage or a simple dummy light?Originally Posted by Hash_ra23
ah thanks..that makes sense. The car has a oil pressure guage. Would be nice to have a working one. I couldn't work out how to remove the switch sensor so i can fit the variable sensor on

Yeah agreed, id be swapping the sensors over. Grab a deep socket in the correct size to remove the switch sensors, they come off fairly easy.Originally Posted by Hash_ra23
