    Default 4ac and 4af-c

    hi to everyone
    i have a 4af-c motor, the crank is stuffed will the 4ac crank be the same as the 4af-c
    cheers guys

    Well the one thing I do know is that they both use a 6 bolt flywheel so thats a step in the right direction, after that I don't know.

    Why not another 4AF crank anyway? They are probably even more common than 4AC ones.

    Yes, just check your clearances. Rods and flywheel should both swap over.

    the 4af might have a fully counter-balanced crank so it would be taking a bit of a step backwards, a quick visual check will be able to tell you

    Yeah, their both half counter balanced, both have 6 bolt crank flanges, and share the same rod and main journals. It will work because a friend of mine did the opposite. Stuffed his 4AC crank, then picked up a 4AFE crank.

    well there you go, so they pretty much are an identical part, makes sense though as Toyota would be able to use an existing part for their economy engine
