    Default mr2 misfiring difficulties

    hey

i just brought my mr2 SW20 turbo and was driving it around and it was fine. i left it parked out in the rain overnight and due to the lack of covering over the motor i got water above the spark plugs. i hav sinced dryed that area and the car still misfires i pulled the plugs out and they are black. do you think replacing my spark plugs will fix my problem tried getting new ones today but supercheap didnt have the ones i need and everywhere else is closed.

Just because they are black, doesnt mean they are dead and need to be replaced.

Check all your ignition leads for water around the plugs to the spark plugs, dizzy and coil.

pop the cap off the dist and clean out the water in the dist cap use a small flat screwdriver aswell and gently scrape the face of the airgap point between the rotor and cap point to remove any of the white build that grows on that point just dont remove any metal - neil
