btw, as mentioned those tender coils are cool, tho expensive as! (was quoted $230 TRADE!!!! only a coupla months ago.)...
Thats the numbers i used to figure my 40mm spacer, but i'll get a more accurate measurement for you...

Is okay dude! I got them in last night...
Forgot to double check the length YLD, but i have it on a peice of paper from initial measurements as 365mm, so i'd say its safe to assume its bloody close to that!
Anyway, i got some 3.2mm side wall 42mm tube, and cut them into 35-40mm spacers which i slipped into the base of the strut. They have worked a charm...
I may have made them a couple mill to short, but as yet, there is no rattles and the car drives alot quiter... Also, the koni yellows seem like a great insert, on the softest the car is very nice to drive, on the stiffest the car feels alot stiffer. Am yet to give it much, but will do it asap!
P.s. My insert has about 3" of squish when the weight of the car is down. Is that going to be enough? Will the insert bottom out at all? I havent got bumpstops in atm cause i forgot and im incredibly lazy...
Cheers,
Jase
I actually believe that shortening the strut AND using a spacer at the bottom is more likely to get you close to your desired bump/rebound positioning. This is how my shortened RA6x struts with rear SW20 MR2 AGX inserts are.
There are various things you can successfully use as spacers - either thick walled tubing, or large sockets angle-ground down to the correct length are nice and sturdy, have the right OD, and an ID that located the bottom of the strut nicely.
