    Default Re- powering a KE20

As i have moved projects(due to rust) from a Celica to a ke20,
    Do i re-power it with a,
    1/ 2T/3T motor.
Or sell all my Celica Gear and go to option 2.
    2/ 4age motor
I have not ruled out turboing either engine.
Or does some one have a diffrent idea.
The car will be a weekend/club car/play thing.

    Any ideas
    Cheers Ian.

check the weights of the motors.. 4A will be nicest, but a 2L 2/3T hybrid will have more torque NA most likely.. and probably sound better too
EFI would be better for both options.

4age + turbo is a worthwhile conversion, but buying ca18det front cut and putting that in would be easier.

how would this be easier? lol
have u done this to confirm?
i have and a 4age and a strap on turbo wold be def easier than the CA18 that i did.
not having a go ... just wondering what u based ur comment on lol

    im with OC's comments here.

a 4age with twin carbs or even a well done over 2/3T hybid on side draughts would be cool.

I haven't done the CA conversion so i'm really just guessing.

i did the 4age + turbo conversion in my ke20 (which i just sold).

the 4agte needed custom engine mounts and the gearbox crossmember had to be re-done to fit the 2.5" exhaust. also needed a custom exhaust manifold, change the cooling system to suit RWD, aftermarket ECU etc. if you want to really get up a boogie, you need a W series box and sort out the bellhousing etc too.

So I'm guessing that dumping in a running front cut CA18DET would be easier as its already a RWD turbo motor with a suitable gearbox. I'm also assuming (maybe a big ass wrong assumption) that the sump and gearbox will clear the swaybar and steering.
