    Default 85 4Runner - leaking front axle ? (SFA)

Being new to 4WD's I'm not sure exactly what is leaking here.

Is it just an axle seal, or something more sinister?

    Cheers

Yes that is a leaking axle seal washing the grease out of your king pin/steering bearings.

    Cheers.

I've ordered an axle seal kit.
Hopefully no damage has been caused.

It wont cause any damage, its just a pain. When you pull it apart just check the swivel hub bearings are not worn. If they are they can put the axle out of centre and cause premature failure of the axle seal.

Are you getting the full kit with new steering bearings and wiper seals etc?

Make sure you check your axle bushes for wear against your axles because these are what normal cause your axle seals to fail.

Check part no.90999-70067 in the link below if your not sure what I'm on about

    No idea.
The car is not for keeping, so spending large amounts of money on it are not going to happen.

I'll find out how much the kit is when they get back to me, and what it includes.

Not for keeping, but a long away from selling.

Gotta fix it before I can go offroading.
