No belt slip or clutch slip?
What's the condition of the rotors and end plates inside?
Hey guys,
I have an SC14 on my 4agze running standard computer.
I used to get 12psi at about 2500rpm, and the SC was so loud.
Now the SC struggles to get the boost up to 10psi and only hits this at about 5000rpm, the boost comes on so slow.
Everything electrical seems to be fine and im still running the clutched set up.....so is my SC stuffed?
Thanks
Chris

no belt slip that was the first thing i checked and i just put a new belt on it just in case.
The rotors were fine when i put the SC in 3 months ago but don't know about the end plates....what should i be looking for there?
How do i tell if the clutch is slipping?
If you look into the supercharger to check the lobes, look at the where the lobes pass over the end walls of the chamber, it should be smooth. My SC12 is pretty stuffed and there is scoring there on mine.
I'm not entirely sure how to check for clutch slip aside from looking for evidence of slipping as per a drivetrain clutch. Signs of scoring, overheating, burning etc. You'll probably have to pull it of the charger though.
Do you have the ABV still attached? If so, is the vac line disconnected or damaged?
yeah ok thanks for the info...looks like ill need to pull it out and check it.
Na no ABV.
Low oil... that is all.

Low oil won't cause low boost, just gear noise and wear.
If it does, it's because the gears are shot, causing the tight tolerances to close up and wear the lobes and end plates anyway.
BTW, supercharger oil can be had from Holden. It's part no 12345982. It's 120mL of supercharger oil and will cost roughly $31.05.
yeah well i just checked the oil and it was low i topped it up and still nothing has changed.
could be a boost leak, check all the piping or surfaces for leaks
I have a Crown
Are you using the clutched pulley or an aftermarket one? Electronic clutch may be worn out and slipping.
Sounds like a boost leak to me. If one of the M6 bolts holding the outlet pipe on is missing, you'll lose about 2psi of boost.
Strange things are afoot at the circle K
Could be an idea to replace them with nyloc nuts if that's the problem, will stop it happening again.
