4agze Ignitor** WHat else can i use

Does anyone know if i can use another model ignitor other than the 4azge toyota part : 89621- 10230

or if you have a 4agze running.. what model ignitor are your runnin???

If you cant find one, ring Petroject here in SA on (08) 8132 1622.

They can in all likelyhood provide you a two channel ignitor or even make you one from scratch.

i got a 7mgte from a wreckers for $70.00

better than the toyota model original from japan for $748.00

the 7m-gte will not work DIRECTLY the same......

.....the witzl predicts much pain forthcoming from this thread....

What differences will i see in the use of the 7mgte? when you say .. wont work directly the same??

do i need to change something else to make it work the same??

the 4agze has a 2 channel output, whereas the 7m-gte has a 3-channel output. (2 coil packs vs 3)


4A-GZE Ignitor

• IGt (fire signal from ecu)
• IGf (confirmation of ignition to ecu)
• IGd (channel selection signal from ecu)
• +B (power from EFI main relay)
• IG- (tacho signal)
• IGc1 (coil1 negative output)
• IGc2 (coil2 negative output)

7M-GTE Ignitor

• IGt (fire signal from ecu)
• IGf (confirmation of ignition to ecu)
• IGdA (channel selection signal from ecu)
• IGdB (channel selection signal from ecu)
• +B (power from EFI main relay)
• IG- (tacho signal)
• IGc1 (coil1 negative output)
• IGc2 (coil2 negative output)
• IGc3 (coil3 negative output)
