7m into ma61 problems

were just putting a 7m n/a into a ma61 the 7m is ex cressida and the w58 is from a n/a ma70 some things wrong everything went in fine engine mounts line up ect but the gearbox mount is a fairway off does anybody no what the reason would be for this to happen? the only reason we used a ma70 w58 is because the box from behind the 5m was stuffed. but everything was transfered to the 7m ,mounts both engine and box....any ideas?

fair way off how, fore aft or side to side?

what gearbox crossmember are you using?

As above, was the old 5m box auto or manual.
You'll need to get a manual crossmember if it was auto. Mount should be the same.
Also try rotating the mount 180degrees.


As a side note if you have an MA70 manual w58 gearbox crossmember, I'm after one.

also... isnt the Ma70 shifter housing the futherest one back (or is that just Ga70?) if you already had a manual gear box compair the shifter housings togeather...

if the shifter sits a fair bit back on the ma70 w58 compaired to the w58 out of your supra; that would be your problem... you would need to swap over the shifter housings so it will go up into the stock shifter hole.

well by the looks of things the ma70 w58 shifter sits further back so i rekn i just need to just shifter housings from the old w5x.. and cruzida yes i still have the a70 gearbox crossmember just gimme a pm
