Aus JD 2703 What ECU are you using and what are you triggering from? Just the standard dizzy signals?

Standard dizzy with a varying trigger angle but around 60' and a haltech ps1000. Running 1zz coils direct fire
1990 ST185 Running stock Gen 3 power, 216awhp at 15psi. 13.6 second down the quarter
Hi. Anyone know if these 1zzfe cop are suitable for the 5sfe motors?
Forged rebuild, turbocharged and Running haltech ps1000 ecu.
Can I use standard 5sfe dizzy for signals and trigger?
What's required?
Sorry to pull up an older thread.
I’ve got a 3sgte gen 2. It’s going into an rt72 corona. I’ll be deleting the dizzy and using it as just a cam angle sensor to run 1zz coils as that’s what seems to be the go by the rest of this thread.
Question is: am I able to do this using an apexi power fc? I know it can do the COP setup as it does it in the gtr. But can it do it from just the distributor output?
Wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of how to wire this also as I’m just learning about this fandangled petrol stuff.

If the powerfc you have is for a 3sgte it won't run COPs. There was a guy from Europe iirc Nodde was his user name on the mr2 forums that made something external/add on to allow you to run COP with the powerfc. Try googling that, with any luck the informations not lost like so much had been.
