All celica brakes were mostly the same from 1970-1977 so you should be able to use the US domestic parts/aftermarket supplies for it.
Sadly this should be straight foward for me but as of late all of the 1st gen Celica items have been discontinued in the USA and getting any help of the matter state side has turned any thread into let me see pix of your car and no help.
that said I would like if at all any help on just standard brake items like rotors and brake pads for the 72 (TA27) RHD import I have from japan.
I thought you can use the parts off the TE71's or TE37's but all are discontinued.
Trying to keep the car for the most part original but I do not want to go to the RX7 items.
do let me know.
thanks

All are discontinued. I used some 81 Rwd Corolla ones but they are a 2mm shorter but over all still fit, if I searched on the aussie side I have found parts but state side not available.
and for the neg rep-received: thanks.
TA27 Front brake parts 04-08-2010 09:50 AM Can't find pads, I don't believe you!
If you can source them from here (Australia), is there anything stopping you from getting them? Maybe also try New Zealand as well. Kind of ironic as a lot of people SAVE money in Australia by importing from the USA, looks like you will be doing it the other way around...![]()
Are you looking Toyota OEM parts or aftermarket, cos i found some at the first US parts site i came to??

Thanks for taking the time too look but have you dealt with those places before personally ? just as a note there are about 500 of those sites that say they have them and never do have it in stock.
are yourunning headers on your car now ? and is it the fujitsubo ones or ? I found some green primerd ones I have no idea where they are from but they are for a 2tg ? and I got a couple of Tosco racing bits and a full bucket seat from tosco.
tried someone like www.rockauto.com ?
Hi,
pads shouldn't be too hard to get, but rotors could be. Regardless i don't like your chances of getting toyota ones pretty much anywhere. Have you talked to the guys on 1stgencelica.com? Surely they can help. The whole front end is the same as a ta22/ra20/21/22 so just say you have one of them and they should know what you're on about then.
Brembo lists the rotors as part no 08.2266.10. Toyota lists the part number as 45312 20030/32. So maybe there is amanufacturer over there that remakes them (like brembo)
Worst case i know a guy that would have about 20 spare rotors......
