just curious, do you NEED the air pump when running a stock carby?

i got rid of mine with no ill effects, just looped the remainding hoose back on itself
i know a guy who has a drag torana where he has set up an air pump to suck air out of the crankcase to relieve pressure on the crank and rods etc
cheers, runs well without the air pump.. so the only thing on that side of the engine
now is the intake and the carby.. thats it![]()
