Display x number of posts per page?

Hey ladies and gentlemen,
I remember in the old forums, you could set how many posts would show per page. Rather than flicking through pages in a long thread to find a post you could just scroll down page 1 to find it. Is there still an option for that hidden somewhere? Can it be implemented?

In the User CP click edit options on the left. Go down to thread display options and see "number of posts to show per page".
