I agree, long signatures are annoying as hell!

Wondering if there is a limit to sig length? Was reading a thread and the guys question was about 1/3 of the length of his signature which is pretty annoying.
Thanks
Chris

maybe someone needs to test to see if it is restriced or just states that it shouldn't be too long, as maybe there is no limit but there is just that nice little not.
I have also noticed long ones.
EDIT: ok tried and tested i was never told i couldn't do that and i put about 8 lines in
So yes it is just asked not too not acutally restricted.

perhaps users themselves need to give these people neg rep and appropriate comment if they find it annoying.. if they still don't change it, get others to neg rep them also

i actually thought it would stop you from posting more then 5 lines. in the same way it whinges about short posts or too many pictures per post
i tested it and found i could have more than 5 lines
any reason why it cant stop you having >5 ?
hello
Not to sure I don't think there is anything in the soft ware.
Mods do have the ability to change sig but we woud rather ppl change them themselves. Again the no advertising and length is a self moderated thing.

Guys, the forum software won't stop anyone putting in heaps of text.
If someone's sig doesn't abide by the rules, either neg rep them or PM a moderator. We'll give them a friendly reminder about the rules.
I hate attention seeking sigs, that includes images, coloured text, different sized text, and long text.

Hi,
Awwww... does that mean my wonderful sig is a source of annoyance to you? And, to everyone else? If so I guess I'll have to change it 'cos I don't want to cause angst.Originally Posted by Nark
