Default Break in a new camshaft

Do we really need to do the break in a new cam? my new cam will arrive any time from now and i would like to know more about it. what i've refer to Boxwrench in youtube, it mention we need to run the engine at 2000RPM for the first 20mins, then another 1500RPM for 15mins. btw, my engine is 3T-C 8 valves
    how do you guys think?

coat the camshaft in castrol lmm which is molybdenum disulfide, and run the engine at 2500 for about 20 mins.
then change the oil after a few lil drives.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.

I would do it, simply because it is cheap insurance. I would also do it because most engine builders recomend running them in.

Asa general rule with cams that are in the block with lifters and such you need to run the cam in, just so that the cam lobes wear to suit the lifters. its only like 35 mins of run time so it's not to long, and it will make sure they are well matched and then you can go rev the crap out of it on your next drive. Lol

yeah obviously the best thing would be to have new ones, but if you are going to used the old ones then yes run the cam in with those.
