Default Fuel pump rewiring - FIXED!!

Hey guys, i've been reading the threads and all the helpful information in them about rewiring the fuel pump so that it shuts of if the engine stalls. I have an MX83 cressida which has a 7mgte in it. Until now the pump has been wired so that when ignition barrel is switched to on the pump is on. I know, not good, but the car has only been moved onto and off tow trucks at this point.

So, i've been trying to get this going properly. So far i have set up 2 relays connected so that when the receive a trigger signal ie starter cranking closes the switch and powers the pump. Problem is I cannot find anything that is 12v signal only when the engine is running... I have tried FP and FC from the ecu, afm signals... I am at a loss as to where to go with this. I am using two relays, usually open so they need the 12v trigger to supply power to the pump.

Any suggestions as to solutions I may have over looked would be greatly appreciated as this is the only thing stopping it from getting on the road.

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

The FC signal is ground when the engine is running, and is open circuit when engine is off. So... Using this info you can use the appropriate relay wiring to get your setup working

So, would that mean I can run a 12v from the battery into the relay and then the ground to FC?

As far as I know yes. BUT, please wait and let this be confirmed by somebody else as this is what I have quickly researched on the net, and we all know that because it's on the net it must be true hehe.
