Thinking about making my next exhaust system
I like the concept on paper of V band clamps for the exhaust....
No gaskets, compact, clean looking etc
What are peoples thoughts?
What are the experiences of those that have have use / contact with them?
Cheers
Wilbo

The spanner in my avatar is actually a 16mm, that's why it's still new
Hey guys V-band flange Kits are the best setup you can use on your exhaust. They allow you to remove your exhaust very quickly and are user friendly. If you guys or any one else is after Vband kits from 2" to 5" let me know. I have them available. They are made from stainless and have a receiver groove so the flanges locate perfectly everytime. The clamp supplied with the kit is a quick release setup.
PM me if you are interested
Cheers

they are all over aircraft bleed air ducts

How do these work? Do you weld two mating rings on your pipes that are held together by the clamp?
yeah joining pipes have a ring welded on the end, then a circular clamp with a v shaped inner pulls the two together
