I believe the main stumbling point was it needs a custom bellhousing thus people run a w58 as the bell is alot more common
I never did get a straight answer on this one as to if had been done
anyhow i think i have sussed it and will be looking at gettting the relevant bits machined in the next month i havent yet sussed clutch and flywheel combo yet but have a good idea how i am gonna do it
any one else out there interesred in this or am i the only person looking to do this

best bet would be to make a generic W58 bellhousing pattern -> R154 gearbox adaptor.
you would have a decent market since there is a lot of applications
hello
mate.
would a 1j be more suited and cheaper for what you require?
that was the idea to be fair im hoping to have somethink in the next month or so

no worries
i only mention it as i know with just my 1g build i can see if i spend too much more money on it, it would be cheaper to get a 1j and spend money on steering/handling instead
i definately will NOT be doing anything to internals, if it gets to that stage i'll go for more displacement. however, 250rwkw (which is just a number to ensure progress is made) is more power than i will ever need in my celica which i hope will come under a tonne
will be good to keep up with your progress on this though
all the best

no worries i like to do stuff that hasn't been done before that way people remember you and in business thats a good thing plus you have somthing no one else does so i will persevere on with this projectand upset a few 2jz's hopefully along the way
but in a sportsman like way
