    Default LPG conversion to hilux

Hi all, i have a VP commodore motor in my YN57 hilux. Im now using the car more than ever and it is costing me a fortune in fuel. Does anyone know if it is worth going to LPG? ive heard mixed results about on LPG using more per km. Is the difference miniscule or major? Being a commodore motor im sure kits arent all that expensive, particularly for the rebate you get from the government....
    Any suggestions welcome
    Thanks

If its a viable option or not will depend on how many kms you do. Yes, you will use more gas per 100kms, but gas is half the price of petrol or cheaper. In my gas car I would usually get 15 to 16 litres per 100 kms, in a mixture of mainly highway and some city driving. Driving the same type of roads in my new petrol car is getting 11 per 100 (company decided petrol was the go) this is basically costing (based on the service station down the road from me) $16 per 100 for petrol, or $10.24 per 100 for gas. keep in mind that if you do 20000kms per year then having it on gas will save approx $1100 per year (remember, this is just an estimate) Depending on how much the gas system costs, how much you drive your car, and how long you are willing to wait for an investment to pay itself off should make the decision easy.

Only risk you have with lpg is valve recession, not sure if the VP has Hardened seats or not so you would need to check that out, if not you can get an inline oiler that lubes the intake charge. Bottom end of your motor wont even know what its running on, and if you get a proper system neither will your right foot
    best o luck
