no timing as its classified as a "driver training" day from memory.

Yep, ends up costing more for insurance and to get the natsoft people along, and causing tighter restrictions - ie no passengers as it's classed as a timed event. Doesn't mean you can't bring your own gear, but most people like being able to take passengers, for 'driver training purposes'.

Frustrating weekend....diff wasn't ready (Monday i hope), new coilover springs wrong ID. The only thing i got done was the Evo VIII wing which i hadn't planned to do at all

I had a big "oh shit" moment when there was an arseload of smoke coming out of the engine bay, but it was just the turbo bag deciding to nearly catch fire (didn't know that could happen!)

Ditto, work all day Saturday the chores etc all day Sunday meant out of a long list of tasks all I managed was two passes with the angle grinder over a section of aluminium plate. Grand total of man hours spent getting work on the car done = 0:02.

I have a feeling a weeks worth of late nights are on the cards............the usual scenario leading up to any event it would seem

I was considering hiring something decent to do the Nurgburgring, & considered that worthwhile seeing as it was likely to be a once in a lifetime experience, but I think I'll pass on that.
